Well – here we are again, another sporadic update from All Things Considered. I think in the last one we wrote to let you know we are still just about plodding along, and I guess this is a very similar one – however it's pleasing to say we at least have a couple of live dates coming up in the next few weeks!
On Easter Monday (9th) we're making our second appearance at The Bedford in Balham. A better free night of music in London we've not found – and the globe like theatre venue is an absolute pleasure to play. This show is free entry, (did I mention that already?) with music kicking off at around 8pm. Check out more details. We of course strongly urge you to come along!
On Wednesday 25th April – we're making yet another appearance at what is rapidly becoming our second home, Jagz in Ascot – as part of a charity night to raise awareness of the closure of Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot. Those local to the area will know how important this place is – so this is something we're happy to get involved with, and it's also a good opportunity to see a whole evening of great music, taking place all over the venue. We'll be on sometime after 9pm – on which stage is still TBC.
Then – Saturday 28th April we're doing a show at Folking Live, which is held in The Cellar Bar, South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell. Folking Live has become in the last 3 years one of the top roots showcase events in the South of England, bringing together both local talent, as well as the best from the London circuit, and further afield – including quite a number of international artists touring the UK. This event will be headlined by one of the top London acoustic acts – Laveer. We'll be on about 8.30pm – and our appearance has absolutely nothing to do with the fact Phil and Adrian run the night... we're there purely on musical merit, we promise. Tickets £7 on the door for this.
The 28th April also sees us return to the studio. After a number of months taking stock of what we have already put down for the difficult second album, we've now all had a good listen – made the changes we wanted, and are now in a position to start recording the final couple of songs that will complete the record.
We are not far away with this – and although we've been saying it for god knows how long – we WILL have this album out this year. For your listening pleasure (we hope), we have a few snippets of stuff we have been working on – just to show you all we aren't lying! You can hear them here:
So that's about it. Would be great to see you at any of the upcoming shows. Let's face it – most of you will have forgotten what we sound like – so what better way to reacquaint yourselves.
Cheers
ATC

Getting back to it
Well, we’re back gigging tonight for the first time since we finished the summer album tour in Finedon near Kettering at the beginning of September. So much has happened in the last 6 weeks that this gig seems like an age ago – but we’re somewhat refreshed (well, some of us are) and really looking forward to getting back playing tonight.
We had our first rehearsal with all 5 of us present for the first time in two months on Tuesday, and ended the session with a new song, which we plan to have a crack at tonight. Those of you who follow us regularly will know that the rate of our output is not exactly what you would call prolific – but two new songs in as many months isn’t bad going, although I make no promises that this will continue…..
So it’s Folking Live tonight, which is actually the night I (Phil) run. The fact that I’ve booked us for it does reek of complete self promotion I admit, however it’s a nice little gig to get us back in to the swing of things and The Cellar Bar at South Hill Park is a really nice cosy little venue with great sound – although pretty horrendous toilets it has to be said!
The bill is really good (even if I do say so myself…) with one of the best bands I’ve seen in ages coming down to play. If you do one thing today, check out Lewis Garland & The Kett Rebellion – www.myspace.com/lewisgarland, it’ll be well worth your time and effort.
So, be good to see some of you there - £5 on the door, 8pm start and you should be able to get back for at least half of Question Time.
The rest of the year looks pretty solid, with a few London dates confirmed – and no doubt more writing to be done. It’s nearly Christmas, and then it’ll be on to record album number 2…..hectic!
